First designed and created in 1951 by Grant Featherston, a self-teaching furniture designer, born in Victoria, Australia, 1922, Grant Featherston Contour Chaise Lounge Chair was a great artwork and represented the mid-century style in the field of Furniture. 

With simpliest design concept-Nature, the oldest Grant Featherston Contour Chaise Lounge Chair was totally hand-made with minimum meterial, but came out a great effort: bent plywood shell covered with Calfskin, but no armrest. 

To stand out into modern time, the Grant Festherston Contour Chaise Lounge Chair is re-designed with fiberglass shell upholstery with wool fabric/cashmere/leather for choice, with armrest, even plus Contour Ottoman additionally for set. Color is optional. The most outstanding designs are the embeded buttons and the fashionable contour, which modernize the chair. To inherit the ideas of Nature, the legs are crafted with solid wood, dark walnut or light walnut color; the obvious and exquisite wood grain can be seen, which makes it graceful.
