Advanced Design Till Today

The Panton Chair is the very first ever to be constructed from one continuous piece of material. Since its market launch, the Panton Chair has undergone several production phases. Not until today was it possible to produce it in line with Panton's original idea, namely from consistently dyed, tough plastic with a matt surface and an affordable price. The Panton Chair has won various design awards world-wide and graces the collections of numerous renowned museums. Its expressive shape makes it a true 20th-century design icon. The chair offers great seating comfort thanks to the cantilever base, together with its shape and flexible materials. It can be used on its own or in groups. Its designer, Verner Panton, had the idea in 1960, on a visit to a factory making safety helmets and buckets, according to the Design Museum. But it would be several years before he could find a manufacturer who was able to mass produce it. Made from a single piece of cantilevered plastic with no back legs, it was the first of its kind.

The Wishbone Chair was designed by none other than Danish designer Hans Wegner. Wegner’s most classic chair is a rare combination of natural design and practicality, with fluid lines and minimalist style. The graceful Y-back, smooth frame and intricate woven seat represent the prominent features of the Organic Functionalism movement of the time. While most replicas take shortcuts on the features that make the original what it is, the Assonhom reproduction is faithfully recreated in honor of Wegner and his principles for great design.

A true reproduction of the original by Isamu Noguchi, the famous Japanese American sculptor who was born in Los Angeles. It was originally created in 1944. The brilliantly simple design consists of only three elements, the glass top and two interlocking wood base pieces. The table is an extraordinary harmony of form and function.

Noguchi table consists of three pieces. A freeform, 3/4" plate-glass top resting on two curved, solid wood legs that interlock to form a tripod for self-stabilizing support. The solid wood base of the table has a lacquered finish and available in Noguchi black, walnut and natural color.
